Use of Artificial Intelligence on This Wiki

This wiki is currently maintained by a very small team of fewer than five contributors. Because of the limited manpower involved in building and organizing a large body of information related to the Independent Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF), artificial intelligence tools are used to assist with early-stage content creation.

AI-generated pages are typically created using source material such as books, historical references, public-domain texts, organizational documents, and other research materials related to the IOOF. The AI does not typically independently “invent” topics, but instead helps organize, summarize, and structure information based on provided inputs.

The purpose of using AI at this stage is not to produce perfectly finished articles, but to help give the wiki a workable foundation and an extremely crude overall shape. Many pages may begin as rough drafts that are expected to be refined, corrected, expanded, and improved over time.

The current team also has limited experience with wiki formatting and templates. AI assistance is therefore being used not only for writing support, but also to help establish basic page layouts and structure while the project grows.

As more contributors join the project, it is expected that articles will gradually receive:

Improved sourcing
Better formatting
Expanded historical detail
Corrections and clarifications
Additional citations and references

Readers and contributors should understand that some articles may still be incomplete, minimally formatted, or in active development.
